A student's motivation makes all the difference in the world. I've come across the whole range in this project already. Some students have not found that spark and maybe aren't trying to look for it because they're afraid of novelty in their own education. Others are popping around corners, coming in during lunch and before school, or emailing me throughout the evening to have me double check their work. The irony is, the students who seek my help are often the ones who are doing well enough. They have great ideas, but maybe need a little nudge in the right direction.
Take for example Kaitlin. She's a great kid, and she's taken on the challenge of the Palio diet. Her project is a documentary of her Paleo experience for the next 30 days. Check out her page, it has a list of what she can and what she cannot eat, she has a blog outlining her nervousness with the project, and I can't wait to see what it boils down to in the end. Just click on her picture below and please, please, please, drop her a message of support and encouragement.
